A Production Project of Classical Poetry and Taiwanese Language Audiovisual Media for Traditional Toy Experiences

This project is designed for intergenerational learning between children and parents, centering on the Taiwanese language, traditional toys, and the "Zhuzhi" poems (classical folk lyrics) describing toys in Lin Wen-long's Memories of Tao Village. Through video production, the project documents the forms, gameplay, and cultural significance of Taiwan's traditional toys. A total of four YouTube episodes were produced, covering four themes: "Rubber Bands," "Bamboo Popguns," "Card Games," and "Spinning Tops." Additionally, three Podcast episodes were created to share the production philosophy and stories behind the toys. The project also coordinated a film screening at Xiwei Elementary School, a remote school, to promote these cultural heritage works.

Digitalization and Interpretation of Yu Ju-chi’s South Link Rail Photography from the 1980s to the 1990s

This project focuses on the digitalization, archiving, and research of photographer Yu Ju-chi's South Link Line railway photography, taken in the 1980s and 1990s.A total of 1,655 South Link Line slides and negatives were successfully digitized and their licensing agreements signed.The project also included the organization of nine photo-reading workshops and four on-site photo field surveys. Furthermore, 200 research interpretations of the South Link Line photos were compiled to explore and elaborate on the geographical and temporal railway knowledge contained within these images.

Local Knowledge and Community Co-Creation with Migrant Workers and New Immigrants in the Tanzih Technology Industrial Park

This project focuses on the migrant worker and new immigrant communities in the Tanzih Technology Industrial Park and its surrounding neighborhoods in Taichung.It aims to cultivate locally grounded empowerment practices through initiatives in language, culture, and civic participation. The implementation team provides Chinese language courses, medical interpretation training, cultural salons, and landscape walking tours, in collaboration with cross-sector and local partners including the 1095 Migrant Workers Cultural Association, Tanyashen Community College, Meijia Human Resources Agency, and China Medical University.

Writer C. W. Chen’s basic archiving and digital collection of cultural relics

Guided by the preservation of C. W. Chen’s important manuscripts, we have completed the digitization of 1,013 C. W. Chen cultural relics and written explanatory data on 101 of them. The data will be made public in the Digital Collection of the Ministry of Culture in the future. Determine the priority of digitization based on the importance and damage of cultural relics, continue the digitization work, use digital cameras to capture cultural relics and archive them, and then select the most important 100 files for interpretation.
